In a bid to retain their prolific striker and Golden Boot winner, Chukwuemeka Obioma, football analyst Mr Best has suggested that Enyimba, the reigning Nigeria Premier League (NPL) champions, should offer him a significant financial incentive.
Retaining Obioma: Enyimba Advised to Offer N3M Salary
With foreign clubs expressing interest in acquiring Obioma’s services, Enyimba is eager to prevent his departure and maintain their dominance both domestically and on the continental stage.
The NPL champions, are facing the possibility of losing their star player, Chukwuemeka Obioma, to foreign clubs, including Zamalek of Egypt and Videoton (Ferhever) of Hungary.
Recognizing the importance of retaining their key players ahead of the upcoming season and continental competitions, Enyimba is now confronted with the challenge of persuading Obioma to remain with the team.
Obioma, who recently received a reward of ₦3.4 million from an oil and gas company and the sponsors of the Golden Boot award, Eunisell, has expressed his openness to considering offers from outside the Nigerian league.

Footballrover understands that the NPL Golden Boot winner could earn approximately ₦15 million in salary should he decide to move abroad.
However, the analyst Mr Best believes that Obioma’s affection for the Nigerian Premier League and desire to stay can be leveraged.
Mr Best has recommended that Enyimba offer the talented forward an improved salary in the range of ₦3,000,000 to persuade him to remain with the Aba-based club.
Expressing his concerns over the potential departure of one of the league’s top scorers, Mr Best emphasized that it would not bode well for the NPL.
He acknowledged the prowess of Obioma and his significance to Enyimba’s success, urging the club to take proactive measures to secure his services for the forthcoming season.
“I know the forward likes the NPL and may consider staying if an improved offer is presented to him,” stated Mr Best, underlining the importance of retaining Obioma to maintain the league’s competitiveness.
Enyimba now faces a crucial decision in their efforts to keep their star forward by offering a salary in line with the analyst’s recommendation.
The club can demonstrate their commitment to Obioma’s talent and aspirations, reinforcing their position as a competitive force in Nigerian football.
