Enyimba Football Club of Aba on Wednesday resumed Nigerian Premier League action in stunning fashion, delivering a crushing blow to Kano Pillars, handing them their heaviest league defeat in over two decades.
Enyimba’s remarkable performance on the pitch left the Sai Masu Gida reeling as they suffered a resounding 5-0 loss, Footballrover reports.
The visiting team was completely stunned by the action-packed matchday 28 of the NPFL 2023/2024 season.
The dominant People’s Elephant crushed Kano Pillars at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
In their quest to win the NPFL championship for a second consecutive season, title-chasing Enyimba secured three points with goals from Mbaoma Chijioke, Ekwutoziam Eze, and Alade Muyiwa, in addition to a brace from Joseph Atule.

Eze fired the home side ahead barely 13 minutes into the game before Chijioke doubled the lead after 22 minutes, and Atule made it 3-0 heading into the interval.
The home side resumed their firepower in the second period of the game, with Atule doubling his tally of the game before Alade completed the rout to seal the three points.
