This was no ordinary win; it marked the first time in 29 continental matches that the People’s Elephant netted four or more goals, a feat they hadn’t achieved since their 5-2 triumph over San Pedro, footballrover reports.

The victory not only avenged their 3-0 loss in Maputo two weeks earlier but also rekindled hopes for progression in the group stage.

Despite their strong performance, Enyimba remain at the bottom of the group with four points from four games, needing a win in their next fixture to climb the standings.
