Enugu Rangers faced a setback in their recent Nigeria Premier League fixture against Abia Warriors, succumbing to a narrow 1-0 defeat during the Oriental Derby clash.

The match at the Umuahia Township Stadium saw Abia Warriors’ Collins Nwoburuoke secure the lone goal within two minutes of kickoff, dealing another blow to Rangers International, who aimed to bounce back after consecutive draws against Sunshine Stars of Akure and Katsina United.
Expressing positivity after the Oriental Derby defeat, the Enugu Rangers conveyed their commitment to a stronger return.
They emphasised the anticipated impact of key players Naziru Auwalu and Okorie Chiedozie’s return, expected to infuse more energy and dynamism into their gameplay.
The club also highlighted the promising debut of Uche Martins, anticipating his contribution to reshaping their upcoming fixtures.

Meanwhile, the Flying Antelopes have also announced the return of midfield maestro Chinaemerem from injury, further bolstering the team’s depth.
