Nigerian International, Emmanuel Dennis has finally found back of the net as he scores on his first Premier League start in 2023 during Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United clash at the City Ground.

Emmanuel Dennis marked his return to Forest’s starting line-up with a beautifully goal. After a Newcastle error, the Nigerian grabbed the opportunity and chipped the ball into the goal .

The Super Eagles star gave Forest the lead after only 26 minutes of play by capitalizing on Botman’s poor and short backpass to Pope with a calmly executed finish.

The 25-year-old grabbed the ball, got the goalkeeper to come out, and skillfully dinked the it past him into the goal.

Nonetheless, Newcastle dominated the game and came back strongly to tie it up through Alexander Isak just before halftime.

The Swedish player shoots the ball hard and low on the volley, and it deflects off the right post and into the goal.

The Magpies were eager to be clear of their opponents before halftime after hitting the woodwork twice, but they were unsuccessful.

At the death of the second half, Newcastle grabbed the lead after they were awarded a penalty.

Isak stepped up to the spot and slammed the penalty perfectly down the center to give Newcastle yet another miraculous victory.

Dennis has now contributed two goals and two assists for Nottingham Forest in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Forest are now winless in their last six Premier League games and remains in 14th position with two points clear the relegation zone while Newcastle cement their fifth spot with the narrow victory.
