Super Eagles star Emmanuel Dennis has made headline for the wrong reason as usually, receiving a ban during Blackburn and Norwich game on Saturday afternoon.

Blackburn Rovers brought in Emmanuel Dennis as a second-half substitute, hoping he could make a difference in their Championship clash against Norwich City, Footballrover reports.

Instead, the Nigerian international hit the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, picking up two yellow cards in just 23 minutes and leaving his team in a precarious position.

Emmanuel Dennis’ bad record at Blackburn strikes again

With the game deadlocked, Dennis entered the pitch in the 62nd minute, replacing Tyrhys Dolan at Ewood Park.

But rather than being a game-changer for Blackburn, he quickly became a liability. Just five minutes after coming on, he received his first booking for a reckless tackle.

Then, in the 85th minute, he committed another foul, earning a second yellow and an early exit—his latest bad record at Blackburn.

The 27-year-old Nigerian star received a second yellow for trying to get on the end of a cross in the box and catching Chrisene.

Reduced to ten men, Rovers struggled to keep Norwich at bay. Their resistance finally broke in the 90th minute when Ante Crnac fired home from the center of the box, assisted by Emiliano Marcondes.

With time running out, it looked like Dennis’ red card had cost Blackburn dearly.

Last-gasp drama saves Blackburn

Just as Norwich seemed set to take all three points, Andreas Weimann delivered a stunning equaliser in the seventh minute of stoppage time.

His powerful header, assisted by Yuri Ribeiro, rescued a point for Blackburn and masked what could have been a disastrous home defeat.

Despite the late heroics, Dennis’ dismissal means he will miss the next game against Derby County.

Blackburn, now winless in their last two matches after a 3-0 loss to Swansea and this 1-1 draw, will need to regroup fast—without the Nigerian forward.
