The hottest Nigerian female footballer right now, Edna Imade, was back on the scoresheet as Granada battled Real Sociedad in a dramatic Liga F clash.
The 24-year-old forward netted her 16th Liga F goal of the season, but her brilliance wasn’t enough to prevent Granada from suffering a disappointing 4-2 defeat away from home, Footballrover reports.

Edna Imade struck in the 71st minute to register the fourth goal of the encounter at the Zubieta Facilities, bringing her total goal contributions this season to 19—17 goals and two assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
With her latest strike, Edna Imade has now scored in back-to-back games and has two goals and one assist in her last three outings.
However, Granada’s poor start proved costly once again.
The hosts, Real Sociedad, raced to a 3-0 lead courtesy of an early goal from Amaiur Sarriegi in the 5th minute, a second-half strike by Klara Cahynova in the 47th, and another goal from Sarriegi shortly after halftime.
Granada attempted a spirited second-half comeback. Edna Imade pulled one back to inject life into the match, and Miku Kojima converted a 90th-minute penalty to narrow the scoreline to 3-2.
Just when it looked like a late surge might earn Granada something, substitute Claire Lavogez sealed the victory for Sociedad deep into added time.
Can Imade’s goal contributions deliver a strong finish?
The result marks Granada’s second consecutive defeat, following their recent 2-1 loss to Real Madrid.
Despite the setback, the team remains in fifth place with 45 points, holding onto hopes of finishing strong in the final round.
Edna Imade, already linked with a move to Bayern Munich, will now turn her focus to Granada’s last game of the campaign against Levante.
