Edna Imade is living her dream right now. The 24-year-old striker has sealed a huge move to FC Bayern Women, swapping Spanish football for Germany’s elite.
After shining for FC Granada, Imade has signed a contract with FC Bayern Women until June 30, 2029 — but first, she’s heading on loan to Real Sociedad San Sebastián to keep growing, Footballrover reports.
Edna Imade: A Journey from Benin City to FC Bayern Women
Born in Benin City on October 5, 2000, Edna Imade’s story began in Spain, where she moved as an infant.
She kicked off her football life with FB Carmona in Andalusia before stepping up to CD Santa Ana Femenino in 2014.
Her talent stood out, earning her moves to CD AD Nervión in Seville in 2017 and later to FC Malaga in 2019.
At FC Malaga, Edna Imade showed her hunger for goals before switching to CP Cacereño Femenino in 2021.
Last season with FC Granada, she made her Primera Division debut in September 2023 and didn’t look back.
She ended the season as joint second top scorer with 16 goals in 29 games — level with Barcelona star Alexia Putellas — and was named Spanish League Player of the Month in December.

Imade added that she could play both as a centre forward and on the wings, describing herself as strong in headers and finishing and as a true team player who always gives everything on the pitch.
