Granada forward Edna Imade has once again proven why she’s one of the fastest rising stars in women’s football, especially in Spanish Liga F.
The Super Falcons prospect delivered a match-winning performance on Saturday, scoring the decisive goal in Granada’s narrow 1-0 victory over Madrid CFF at the Ciudad Deportiva del Granada, footballrover reports.
Edna Imade’s brilliance shines again
The 24-year-old forward continued her outstanding form, finding the net in the 19th minute to give Granada an early lead. This marks her fourth consecutive goal in Liga F.
Despite a competitive first half, Imade’s goal was the only one of the game. Her impressive tally now stands at nine goals in 13 Liga F appearances this season.
Imade was the star performer throughout the match. She recorded 44 touches, eight of which came inside the opposition’s box, and created one chance while maintaining a 48% pass accuracy.
On the defensive end, her contribution was equally remarkable, winning 100% of her tackles, securing four aerial duels, and making three recoveries.
Her all-round display earned her an 8.1 match rating as she continues to push the team forward in their new campaign.
Granada’s momentum builds
Granada’s victory, their third consecutive win in Liga F, propelled them from eighth to sixth on the table with 19 points.
The team remains unbeaten in their last four matches, showing a new growing confidence and determination to climb higher.
This win also extended their opponents’ struggles, with Madrid CFF sliding to 10th place.
What’s next for Granada and Edna Imade?
With Imade in blistering form, Granada will look to carry this momentum into their Copa de la Reina clash against Sevilla.
For the Nigerian forward, her consistent performances are not only boosting her team’s fortunes but also strengthening her case for a Super Falcons call-up.
Her contributions in recent matches, including a crucial equaliser against Levante and a commanding goal in Granada’s 5-0 win over Deportivo La Coruña, will see her gain more momentum moving forward.
