Super Falcons prospect Edna Imade continued her brilliant form in the Spanish Liga F, firing home her 14th league goal of the season to lead Granada to a hard-fought 2-1 away victory over Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old forward struck the match-winner just minutes after Granada had levelled the scoreline at the Estadio Abanca-Riazor, Footballrover reports.

It marked another standout moment for the Nigerian forward, who has been so important to her team’s push in the closing stages of the season.

Edna Imade keeps shining with 14th league goal

The Liga F matchday 27 clash saw Edna Imade deliver yet another decisive performance.

Despite having the fewest touches (26) among outfield players who completed 90 minutes, Imade’s impact was quite impressive.

She completed 91% of her passes, won three aerial duels, made five recoveries, and registered four crucial clearances.

Granada initially struggled, conceding after 20 minutes when Millene Cabral gave Deportivo La Coruña the lead.

However, the visitors mounted a comeback in the second half, with Ornella Vignola equalising in the 72nd minute before Edna Imade sealed the win three minutes later.

It was Imade’s 17th direct goal contribution of the season — now tallying 15 goals and two assists in 31 appearances.

Just a week ago, she had also provided the key assist that helped Granada defeat Valencia 2-1 at home.

Thanks to Imade’s brilliance, Granada secured their third consecutive win, although they remain in 5th place with 45 points.

With just three games left in the campaign, Granada will be aiming to finish strong but faces a daunting challenge next against Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Regardless of how the season concludes, Imade has firmly established herself as one of the breakout stars in Liga F with her 14th goal in the league, an incredible and consistent season for the Nigerian.
