In the course of the match, Ebube Duru scored twice in the game, with his first coming from a 30 yard free kick and the second a penalty kick.

He found back of the net in the first and second half of the encounter respectively, giving the Pride of Rivers their third home victory of the 2022/2023 NPFL Season.

The only anxious moment for either team in the first eighteen (18) minutes of the game came from Ebube Duru’s free-kick that was taken a few meters outside of the center circle.

Wikki Tourist equalized in the fifth minute of the second half thanks to a roving Wikki Tourist attacker who headed home a floating corner kick while sandwiched by three Rivers United defenders.

Unfortunately their celebration was shortlived as the referee called off the goal after the linesman claimed the Wikki Tourist man was offside in the run of play.

To the surprise of the opposing team, the center referee unexpectedly nullified the goal. Two Rivers United attackers missed another opportunity to increase the goal tally in the 28th minutes of the game.
