Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace couldn’t think of a better way to honor Easter, which commemorates the resurrection of the Most High King, than by scoring a goal for his club on Sunday.
In their Premier League match at Elland Road, the 24-year-old midfielder displayed an outstanding performance and capped it off with a goal as Crystal Palace hammered Leeds United.
In this crucial matchup at the bottom of the Premier League, Palace emerged victorious with a rout of 5-1.

Eberechi Eze’s individual stats vs. Leeds:
92% pass accuracy
60 touches
14/16 final third passes completed
12 ground duels won
8/9 dribbles completed
6 ball recoveries
3 key passes
1 assist
1 goal
With Guehi’s late equalizer after Bamford had given the hosts the lead, they were fortunate to go into the interval tied following a good first-half performance from Leeds.
But, everything changed after the break as Ayew gave them the lead before Eze made it 3-1 in just two minutes.
After that, Gracia’s team disintegrated, and Edouard joined the fun on minute 69 before Ayew later doubled his tally of the game and Palace’s fifth.
Eberechi Eze and his teammates handed Hodgson his second win in two games since returning as manager.
The youngster instantly posted on his social media accounts to celebrate his goal and this achievement, saying:
“What a way to celebrate the resurrected King! Thank you for the support as always.“

What does that mean for Palace?
The Eagles are now ranked 12th, roughly six points above the bottom of the standings.
With eight games remaining, Leeds is now only two points above the bottom three, which heightens their fears of being demoted.
Nine players won 11+ duels in the Premier League this weekend:
◉ 14 – Eberechi Eze
◉ 13 – Jeffrey Schlupp
◉ 13 – Michael Olise
◉ 11 – Jordan Ayew
Four of them play for Crystal Palace. ????
The Nigerian-hopeful, who has five goals and three assists to his name this season, will undoubtedly be looking ahead to their next game against Southampton to continue to improve his form.
Eberechi Eze is that footballer we used to watch as kids and think, "This football is easy and even sexy." So, we decide to go play.
The way this kid controls a football, lays it off or just drags it away from the man in front of him can be beautiful.
