Nigerian forward David Okereke finally found the back of the net for Serie A side Cremonese, but his individual brilliance wasn’t enough to prevent a crushing defeat.

The 28-year-old striker started the Round 29 clash on the bench but was introduced at the start of the second half to replace Morten Thorsby.

It took the Nigerian just 11 minutes to make his mark, scoring his first goal for the club since his summer move from Gaziantep FK.

The uphill battle turned into a mountain shortly after halftime when Dodô added a third with a brilliant individual strike.

While Okereke’s goal briefly shifted the momentum, Albert Guðmundsson eventually sealed the 5-1 victory with a composed finish.

The result extends Cremonese’s winless streak and leaves them reeling, while Fiorentina moves further away from the bottom three.
