Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers stole the show at Ibrox Stadium, scoring twice to lead Rangers to a dominant 3-0 victory over Dundee United in the Scottish League Cup.
With this commanding performance, Dessers not only powered his team into the semi-finals but also continued his impressive goal-scoring run, much to the delight of the home crowd, Footballrover reports
The Nigerian international was in fine form, netting the opener just 18 minutes into the game.
Rangers had control from the start, piling pressure on their opponents with wave after wave of attack.
Dessers’ clinical finish set the game rolling for what was to be a long afternoon for Dundee United, who struggled to create chances.

Rangers’ captain, James Tavernier, added a second goal five minutes into the second half, making the visitors’ task even more daunting.
But it was Dessers again who truly sealed the deal.
In the 66th minute, he calmly slotted home his second goal of the match, completing his brace and putting the game beyond doubt.
Despite being substituted for Hamza Igamane with 22 minutes left on the clock, Dessers’ impact was the real deal.
The Rangers’ attacking force continued to dominate, and the score remained 3-0 until the final whistle.
This brace means Dessers has now found the back of the net five times in his last five appearances for Rangers.
