Super Eagles star Cyriel Dessers has continued his hot streak as Rangers secured their first win of the Scottish league season, defeating Motherwell 2-1 on Saturday.
Just four days after scoring a dramatic equaliser for Rangers against Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League, Dessers has found the net yet again, Footballrover reports.
This is his first Scottish League goal for the club this season.
The Nigerian international and his teammates have faced a challenging start to the campaign.
Following a goalless draw against Hearts, they bounced back with a hard-fought victory over Motherwell at Hampden Park.
Dessers opened the scoring in the 13th minute, assisted by Ivory Coast midfielder Mohammed Diomande.
However, Motherwell equalised just four minutes later through defender Robin Propper.
Rangers regained the lead in the 21st minute thanks to a goal from Vaclav Cerny.
Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, Rangers were unable to extend their lead in the second half.
The final score of 2-1 reflected a deserved victory for the home side, who temporarily climbed to the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
Dessers’ impressive form will be crucial as Rangers prepare for the second leg of their Champions League qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv next Tuesday.
