Super Eagles star Cyriel Dessers is seriously enjoying life in the Scottish Premiership; this time around, he scored twice as Rangers stormed to a big home league victory over Hearts.

The Nigerian sensation Cyriel Dessers propelled Rangers to a commanding 5-0 win against Hearts in the Scottish League game on Saturday, Footballrover reports.

Dessers, the Nigerian forward, displayed his attacking prowess once more by finding the back of the net twice during the encounter, securing a convincing win for Rangers at their home ground.

The first goal came in the 44th minute when Dessers capitalised on a precise cross from Souttar, extending the lead for the home team to three goals just before halftime.

Continuing his stellar performance, Dessers demonstrated his sharpness yet again in the second half, seizing an opportunity amidst a goalmouth scramble to secure his second goal of the match, handing Rangers a four-goal advantage.

This remarkable feat follows Dessers’ recent impressive performance, where he also netted a brace in a 3-1 victory against Ross County on February 14.

With these two goals, Dessers has now amassed an impressive tally of 12 goals in 24 league appearances for Rangers this season, further strengthening his impact on the team’s success.

Moreover, his total goal count for the campaign rises to 16 across all competitions, revealing his consistency and potency in front of goal, yet he is not among the favourites on the national team.

In the Scottish Premiership’s top scorers chart, Dessers stands joint third alongside his Rangers teammate James Tavernier, both boasting 12 league goals.

Hearts’ striker Lawrence Shankland leads the pack with 18 goals.

Meanwhile, Dessers’ compatriot and Rangers teammate, Leon Balogun, was an unused substitute during the match.

The victory sees Rangers extend their lead at the top of the table, amassing 67 points and moving five points clear of their title rivals, Celtic.

However, Celtic have the chance to narrow the gap to just two points if they secure a win against Motherwell on Sunday.
