The Scorpions of Gambia are prepared to face Cameroon in the Afcon 2021 quarter-final after all 27 players tested negative for Covid-19 at the Team’s Best Western Plus Hotel in Douala.
All 27 players and staff members of theΒ Gambia Football team have tested negative for the dreaded virus, according to the Gambia Football Federation.
As a result, everyone is eligible for Saturday’s African Cup of Nations quarterfinal match against host team, Cameroon at the Stade de Japoma, the biggest match in Gambian football history.
When the Scorpions face the Indomitable Lions, they will be looking to advance further in the tournament despite having no stars in their squad.

They play a simple but rigorous brand of football and will be looking to progress more in the tournament.
