Following a muscle injury scare that led to his premature exit from the Super Eagles camp during the international break, Chukwueze made a swift return to full training.
This early comeback paid off handsomely, as he was named in the starting lineup for the match against Udinese, ready to make his mark.
The 25-year-old winger had previously made seven appearances this season, primarily as a substitute, before finally breaking through with his first goal in his eighth try.
San Siro erupted just 13 minutes into the match when Chukwueze expertly found the net against fellow Nigerian Maduka Okoye, showing off his composure as he fired a precise shot into the bottom left corner after being set up by Christian Pulisic.
However, the tide shifted for Milan when they were reduced to ten men after Reijnders received a straight red card just 16 minutes later.
Just before halftime, Chukwueze had a golden opportunity to double his tally but saw his strike blocked by a determined defender.
