Akpom’s consistent performance also marks his second consecutive game scoring for Ajax in the Dutch top flight, bringing his total to five goals in five games across all competitions.
He has amassed five goals in nine Eredivisie appearances.
Akpom’s impactful 58th-minute goal against Vitesse propelled Ajax to a commanding 5-0 lead, elevating them to eighth place in the league standings with 15 points.
Recall that the former Arsenal striker’s impressive track record includes finishing as the top scorer in the English Championship last season with 28 goals in 40 games for Middlesbrough.
