Yet despite his efforts, it wasn’t enough to clinch all three points, Footballrover reports.

Chibuike Ohizu’s brilliance can’t save Sekhukhune United

The 28-year-old, who battled for 89 minutes, delivered his fifth league goal of the season at the Dobsonville Stadium.

The first half was a cagey affair, with neither side breaking the deadlock until deep into the second period.

Ohizu finally sparked the match into life in the 65th minute, firing home to give Sekhukhune United a deserved lead.

However, their celebrations were cut short just five minutes later when Kamogelo Sebelebele levelled for TS Galaxy, ensuring both teams shared the spoils after the final whistle.

Despite the disappointment, Sekhukhune United holds on to third place with 41 points, while TS Galaxy stays fifth with 34 points.

It was a bittersweet evening for Chibuike Ohizu.

His well-taken strike showed the quality he brings to Sekhukhune United’s attack, but the team’s inability to defend their slender lead denied them vital three points.

With only a few games left in the season, every point is vital, and Ohizu will surely be crucial in the final stretch.

Samuel Akere delivers magic for Botev Plovdiv

Meanwhile, it was a familiar tale for Samuel Akere in Bulgaria’s First Professional Football League.

The 21-year-old forward impressed yet again, assisting Botev Plovdiv’s only goal in their matchday 31 encounter against Beroe.

Akere, featuring for 79 minutes, carved out his third assist of the season when he set up Nikolay Minkov to open the scoring within the first 20 minutes.

However, just ten minutes into the second half, Alberto Saido Tajero struck back for Beroe, and the match ultimately ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw.

Akere made way for Vinni Triboulet later in the game, while compatriot Ehije Ukaki also entered the fray but couldn’t alter the outcome.

Three points could have given them an edge at the top of the table, but with the draw, Botev Plovdiv remains in second place with 50 points, tied with leaders CSKA Sofia.

Their next challenge awaits as they prepare to host third-placed Spartak Varna.
