Liverpool have won the Carabao Cup for a record ninth time after beating Chelsea 11-10 on Penalties on Sunday night.
It was a lot of fun to see the two English football powerhouse go at it at Wembley.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool had fantastic chances to score early on, and the game was evenly matched at halftime.
Chelsea came pretty close to scoring in the first half with Pulisic’s saved effort and Mount’s miscue, while Keita and Mane were both thwarted by Mendy in the first half.
In the second half, both teams maintained a similar tempo, creating more scoring opportunities.
Despite the fact that both teams scored, Matip’s shot was ruled out by VAR, while Werner’s header was a straightforward offside call.
