On a light filled night at Stamford Bridge, Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea secured the first leg advantage with a convincing 2-0 victory over LOSC Lille.

The game had it’s opener as early as the 8th minute, German clutch player, Kai Havertz giving Chelsea the lead and unsettling the visitors early on in the game.

A match which saw Chelsea lose Mateo Kovacic and Ziyech both to injuries and then a brilliant display from Frenchman, Ngolo Kante creating the second goal for the Blues in the 63rd minute, working his way and handing a golden chance to Christian Pulisic who made no mistake in doubling the lead.

The defending Champions will be looking to secure their spot in the quarter finals when they take on their French rivals in the second leg of the tie on the 16th of March, 2022.
