After a difficult contest between both teams, Chelsea led Frank Lampard’s Everton 1-0 at the end of the first half.
Doucoure, however, lost focus during a vital stretch of stoppage time and brought down Chilwell in the box.
After Ben Chilwell was fouled in the box in the last seconds of the first half, Jorginho converted the ensuing penalty kick to score the game’s only goal.
The home team had a monumental challenge before them to get back into the game in the second half after Jorginho successfully converted the penalty kick.
