Thomas Tuchel has acknowledged being devastated after being fired and can’t believe his time at Chelsea has ended but praised the supporters for their loyalty throughout his time.
The former manager of Chelsea has finally decided to addressed the Blues fans with his goodbye messages after the club revealed its intention to cut ties with the 49-year-old last week Wednesday.
After Frank Lampard was forced to leave as well, the German guided the Blues to the 2021 Champions League title and went on to win the Club World Cup.
Tuchel was fired by Chelsea’s new owners following a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb on the opening day of the Champions League, despite making significant transfer investments throughout the summer.
Many people, along with many Chelsea supporters, were shocked by the news since they had assumed the manager would be given time to improve the team he had recently assembled during the summer transfer window.
The next day, Graham Potter was quickly named the new coach by the Chelsea ownership group.
The action has been the subject of rumors and speculation, but the club has offered very little insight on why the decision so early.
Thomas Tuchel, who had not posted anything on social media since 2020, took his time to commend Chelsea supporters for making him feel “extremely welcome” at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel wrote on social media;
🗣 “This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write – and it is one which I hoped I would not need to do for many years. I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end. This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start.”
The former Chelsea Boss added that;
🗣 “The pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever. I am honoured to have been a part of this club’s history and whatever the future holds for me, the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart.”

Graham Potter was soon recruited by Chelsea on a five-year contract from Brighton in order to serve as Tuchel’s replacement. The Champions League match between Salzburg and Chelsea will be his first match in charge.
