Chelsea are crowned the 2021/22 Women’s Super League after recovering from two goals down to hammer Manchester United 4-2 on the last day of the season.
The stunning brace from Sam Kerr was all the Blues needed to turn around the game and conquer the Red Devils and their bitter rival – Arsenal to the title.
The Red Devils got out to a good start and seemed like the stronger team in the early stages, easily taking the lead through Thomas 13 minutes in.
Five minutes later, Erin Cuthbert got the Blues back into the game when the ball fell beautifully into her area, and she wasted no time in blasting home the equalizer.

The visitors continue to put pressure on the Blues, and 25 minutes in, Toone’s strike takes a huge deflection and finds its way past Chelsea keeper Andre Berger to make it 2-1, and it remained that way at the interval.
Chelsea’s female squad came out of the break with more enthusiasm and commitment, quickly equalizing two minutes later through Sam Kerr’s left-footed volley into the back of the net.
Four minutes later, the Blues took the lead for the first time as Harder drilled in a cross and Reiten was on hand to make it 3-2.

The Blues held on to the 4-2 lead to clinch the Women’s Super League title for the third time in row at the end of the final whistle.
