Nathan Ake is overjoyed that Man City succeeded in defeating Graham Potter’s Chelsea team during their Premier League match, and he hopes that the team can maintain its winning ways.
Thanks to Riyad Mahrez’s winning goal at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night, Manchester City trail five points behind the Premier League leaders – Arsenal.
Despite putting up a less-than-stellar performance, City nevertheless managed to win and pick up all three points while playing away from home.
Grealish and Algerian sensation – Mahrez collaborated in the Chelsea box shortly after coming off the bench to score the game’s only goal.

Grealish set up Mahrez superbly, which was sufficient to end the match and help Pep Guardiola’s team get closer to the Gunners.
The two substitutes connected superbly to demolish the Chelsea defense as Jack Grealish’s enticing low cross was easily converted by the former Leicester City star – Riyad Mahrez.
Chukwuemeka came inches from finding back of the net for the home side in the opening 45 minutes, but the post stopped him and preserved City’s perfect record.
Even though Chelsea lost, they played with high spirit, and many of their supporters were happy with how they played—if not for the outcome.
City players, including Nathan Ake, took to social media to celebrate the win on Thursday night at the Bridge. They all acknowledged that it had been a difficult test and a hard-fought victory.

Sunday’s FA Cup third-round match between these two teams will still take place, and Potter will be hoping that both Sterling and Pulisic can recuperate from the injuries they sustained in the first half.
Chelsea needs to improve its performance, but despite losing to City by a score of just 1-0, it has shown that it can fight with the top teams in the Premier League.
