In the final game of CHAN 2022, Senegal overcame all the antics of Algeria, the African Football Championship’s host, and held them to a scoreless draw after 90 minutes of regulation time.

The final game was so exciting and tense that the center referee had to show four yellow cards in the opening thirty minutes.

Senegal countered the home team with occasional counterattacks and good ball possession.

Even with the voiceferous home support, Algeria made numerous attempts to break the deadlock without success.

After ninety minutes of regulation play, the game went into extra time to determine the true 2022 continental football champion.

The first and second half of extra time of the match also ended without any goal from both finalists.

The match then went into Penalty shoot – out, and Senegal triumphed in the CHAN 2022 final after scoring five (5) Penalties as against host, Algeria’s four (4).
