U-20 World Cup: Casadei, Marcos Leonardo threaten Flying Eagles qualification

The youngsters are the two players the Flying Eagles need to watch out for in the remaining Group D matches against Italy and Brazil at the on-going U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

The two players separately scored a brace in the Group D match between Italy and Brazil.

Cesare Casadei scored a brace in the 27th and 34th minutes of the first half of the match for Italy’s second and third goals.

He also set up Matteo Pratti to score Italy’s first goal against Brazil in the 11th minute of the first half of the match.

On his part, Marcos Leonardo started Brazil’s fight back against Italy with the first goal in the second half and completed his brace in the 86th minute of the second half of the match.

Marcos Leonardo’s brace, however, came late to save Brazil from first-group defeat as the match ended 3-2 in favor of Italy.

Italy will play its second group match against Nigeria on Wednesday, while Brazil will confront the Dominican Republic.
