Manchester United on Sunday evening defeated Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium to lift Carabao Cup, grabbing their first trophy in six years.
The Red Devils defeated Newcastle 2-0 to take home the EFL Cup.
Both of the Red Devils’ goals came in the first half, with Casemiro giving them the lead with a thunderous header that came off a Shaw free-kick.

Before Rashford’s cross, which was the game-winning goal, bounced in off Botman to give United a 2-0 lead.
The second half began with Newcastle coming out determined, but besides their persistent pressure, they were unable to find a way through United goal net.
The only time the Magpies really tried to test De Gea was when he made a last-second stop to deny Joelinton.
For the sixth time, Manchester United takes home the trophy, and Ten Hag has given them the season’s first trophy.

Newcastle hasn’t won a trophy in 24 years despite making a major final for the first time.
It’s heartbreaking for Newcastle since they have now been defeated all nine of their games at Wembley, a streak that started with the 1974 FA Cup final and has grown to be the longest losing streak by a club team there.
Erik ten Hag leads a team in an EFL Cup final for the first time as a Dutch manager, and he lifts the trophy after the game.
