Canada will be on their way home after losing two Group matches at Qatar 2022 World Cup. Canada lost 1-4 to Croatia in round 2, Group F, match played today at Khalifa International Stadium, Doha.
Canada had lost 0-1 to Belgium in the first round of the group matches of the championship before coming into this match and was hoping to grab a glimpse of hope with a win.
Alphonso Davies scored early in the first half, barely two minutes into the game after receiving an assist from Tajon Buchanan.

Andrej Kramaric with an assist from Ivan Perisic equalized for Croatia in 36 minutes of the first half of the game.
Marko Livaja then increased the tally to two for Croatia in 44 minutes of the half with an assist from Josip Juranovic.
Andrej Kramaric went on to grab a brace and the third goal for the Croatian side after receiving an assist from Ivan Perisic in 70 minutes of the second half of the match.

In the fourth minute of the extra time of the second half, Croatian substitute – Lovro Majer confirmed the departure of the Canadian team from 2022 mundial with a heart- breaking fourth goal after receiving an assist from another substitute – Mislav Orsic to end the match 1-4 in favour of Croatia.
With the victory against Canada, Croatia has consolidated its position in the group with four points from 2 matches played in Group F of Qatar 2022 World Cup.
