Down in Eredivisie, Calvin Bassey has made a good start to his Ajax career as he provided his first assist in a good display to help his team cruise to a big home win on Saturday.
In Ajax’s 4-0 Eredivisie victory at tge Amsterdam ArenA over Cambuur on Saturday, Calvin Bassey picked up his first career assist.
Since his summer transfer from Rangers, Bassey has made three league appearances for the Dutch champions.
24-year-old Netherlands international Steven Bergwijn, scored the opening goal barely 35 minutes into the game, before the former Tottenham star then added the second in 40th minute.

Devyne Rensch scored the third goal for Ajax in the 53rd minute to extend the resounding lead.
Ghanian midfielder – Mohammed Kudus then poked the ball into an empty net to make it 4-0 following a wonderful assist from the 22-year-old Nigerian defender after 64 minutes.

Calvin Bassey and his Ajax teammates will now channel their stunning form to UEFA Champions League group stage match at home, where they will be facing Scottish Champions – Rangers in their opening game on Wednesday.
“During my childhood in London we had food and clothes, but we were poor. The journey has been incredible. When I get on the field on Wednesday, the UCL anthem will sound unrealistic. Iβll get a chance to really show myself on this stage.” – he said.
