Raheem Sterling grabbed two assists to help Manchester City secure a 2-0 win over Burnley in their Premier League game at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.
With just five minutes on the clock, the Pep Guardiola side took the lead when Rodri sends a diagonal pass wide to Sterling, whose volley back inside bounces before De Bruyne arrives to smash it past Pope and into the net.
11 – Kevin De Bruyne has been directly involved in 11 goals in his last 13 Premier League appearances for @ManCity, netting eight and assisting three. Output.

Sterling had a brilliant touch in anticipating where De Bruyne would be as City sliced through the hosts like a hot knife through butter.
City doubled their lead after 20 minutes. After a brilliant one-two between De Bruyne and Sterling, the latter sped down the right flank, cutting the ball back to Gundogan, whose half-volley caught Pope off guard and rolled into the net.
34 – Ilkay GΓΌndogan has scored his 34th Premier League goal for Man City, making him the outright top scoring German in Premier League history, overtaking Mesut Γzil (33). Wunderbar.

Sterling gets the assist once more, this time from a right-wing cut-back into the same area of the box as De Bruyne scored.
With this victory, Man City has reclaimed first place in the table after Liverpool’s brief reign at the top ended.
Burnley were a long way behind the leaders and are still in second place. They have games in hand on the clubs on either side of them, but they’ve already played once more than Everton, and time is running out for them to keep control of their destiny.
