Bolaji Olamide, the sensational 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership top scorer, made her highly anticipated Super Falcons debut in a commanding 2-0 victory over the Lionesses of Cameroon at the MK Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.

This momentous occasion, marking the Falcons’ 15th victory in 21 meetings against Cameroon, showed the potential of a new era for the national team, with Olamide at its forefront, Footballrover reports.

Though not in the starting lineup, the exciting Remo Stars forward was introduced in the 65th minute, stepping onto the pitch to replace Rinsola Babajide, who unfortunately sustained a knock.

For 25 minutes, the NWFL superstar seamlessly integrated into the team, contributing to the Super Falcons’ dominant performance.

While she didn’t find the back of the net on this occasion, her presence clearly added some excitement, and she undoubtedly relished a winning start in her very first outing for the national team.

Two first goals from Rasheedat Ajibade were enough to hand Olamide a memorable Super Falcons debut.

A vital player for Remo Stars Ladies, she played a crucial role in their historic qualification for the Super Six, where the Ikenne ladies finished in a respectable 5th place.

Her burgeoning career includes representing the Nigeria Women’s U17 team, the Flamingos, during critical FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup qualifying rounds.
