Bayern Munich once again took advantage of Mainz’s help as an exhilarating conclusion to the Bundesliga season resulted in claiming their 11th straight Bundesliga title.

Following a surprising 3-1 home loss to RB Leipzig the previous weekend, Bayern needed to defeat Koln and rely on Dortmund’s failure to win against mid-table Mainz in order to retain the trophy.
Despite Dortmund’s 2-2 draw with Mainz, it seemed that the title was heading their way after Dejan Ljubicic’s 81st-minute penalty canceled out Kingsley Coman’s fantastic opening goal for Bayern.
However, as stoppage time approached, Musiala displayed his brilliance by finding the bottom corner with a sensational shot, sealing Bayern’s 11th straight Bundesliga championship in a thrilling conclusion to an enthralling title race.

Bayern took the lead after just eight minutes when Coman skillfully cut inside onto his right foot and expertly placed the ball into the top-right corner.
Thomas Muller came close to doubling their lead with an acrobatic header that struck the woodwork, while news reached the stadium of Dortmund falling two goals behind against Mainz.
Leroy Sane thought he had made it 2-0 before halftime with a composed finish into the bottom-left corner, but a VAR review penalized him for a handball in the build-up, leaving Bayern 45 minutes away from another title.
Dortmund managed to pull a goal back, and Bayern’s hopes of winning the title seemed to have suffered a fatal blow nine minutes from time when Serge Gnabry handled the ball from Denis Huseinbasic’s cross, leading to Ljubicic calmly converting the penalty into the bottom-left corner.
However, there was another twist as Musiala unleashed a powerful shot late in the game, igniting wild celebrations and propelling Bayern back to the top of the table.
In the end, Niklas Sule scored a 96th-minute equalizer for Dortmund, but it proved futile as Bayern held on to secure three points and a spectacular Bundesliga triumph.
