Bayelsa United captain Edwin Ayiba has sent a stern warning to Remo Stars ahead of their upcoming match on Sunday, vowing that his team is coming for revenge after their recent defeat.
Bayelsa United lost their last match against Doma United, and Ayiba is determined to lead his team to victory against Remo Stars to make up for that loss.
The Prosperity Boys faced a tough 2-0 loss at Pantami Stadium during the second matchday of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
“Not the result we want, our primary focus is the game on Wednesday against Remo Stars at the Samson Siasia Stadium,” the club wrote on their social media page.
While speaking to Daily Post, the Bayelsa United captain, Edwin Ayiba, revealed that the team is eager to bounce back after the disappointing defeat against Doma United in Gombe.
Ayiba, who was clearly pained by their first defeat of the season, acknowledged that the Oil Rich club has already moved on from the setback and is now focused on their upcoming fixture for a chance at redemption.
“We just can’t wait to take on Remo Stars on Sunday in Yenagoa. The defeat against Doma United was a painful one, but we have looked past it and we are looking ahead to the Sunday match,” he said.
Ayiba’s comments are sure to get the Remo Stars players fired up for the match, and it promises to be a thrilling encounter.
Looking ahead, Bayelsa United will take on Remo Stars this Sunday, with the match scheduled to be held at Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
