The Champions League group stage draw, one of the most anticipated moments and events in sports, has finally taken place, and we now have some thrilling matches ahead of us.
The 32 teams waited patiently to learn about their opponents for the upcoming weeks and months as the journey to European glory kicks off.
The draw was held at the Halic Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey, on August 25, the same location of the next Champions League final.

For the group stage, the last teams have been drawn into their group A-H .
While Manchester City and Liverpool received somewhat challenging draws, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Inter were placed in what is popularly known as the “group of death” alongside Viktoria Plzen.

While PSG and Juventus will square off in a battle of the titans, Chelsea and their Premier League counterpart – Tottenham have been given relatively easy matches.

Group B: Porto, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Club Brugge
Group C: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Inter, Viktoria Plzen
Group D: Eintracht Frankfurt, Tottenham Hotspur, Sporting CP, Marseille
Group E: AC Milan, Chelsea, FC Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb
Group F: Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, Celtic
Group G: Manchester City, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Kobenhavn
Group H: PSG, Juventus, Benfica, Maccabi Haifa
Now that the group stage is due to start on September 6, 2022, the biggest clubs from the main European leagues are ready to battle for the continental championship.
Real Madrid, the defending champion, as well as other European powerhouses Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Liverpool are all anticipating the start of the group stage and hoping for a smooth ride throughout their 2022–2023 European campaign.
