Barcelona head coach, Xavi wasn’t satisfied with his team performance in a thrilling six-goal encounter against their Italian counterpart – Inter Milan during their Champions League group game match on Wednesday night and he apologised to fans for it.

Barcelona and Inter both took advantage of each other’s defensive flaws to deliver a strong showing six-goal thriller at Camp Nou, that will go down in Champions League history.

Getting a point keeps Barca three points behind their opponents, but with only two games left, it will be difficult to catch the Nerazzurri.

Thanks to former Bayern Munich forward – Lewandowski, who was able to keep the Spanish powerhouses’ hopes of winning the Champions League alive, they at least managed to escape exiting at the group stage once more.

What about Inzaghi’s men, who put up a valiant fight and displayed coolness under pressure? Since their fate now rests in their own hands, they are left to wonder what might have been for them.

The next time Barcelona plays in Europe, they will be looking to host Bayern, which will undoubtedly be a make-or-break game for the Catalan club. The Xavi side must now bounce back quickly to take on a top-of-the-table El Clasico in Madrid at the weekend.

Obviously, Xavi is well aware of this; in fact, he apologized to Barcelona supporters for the defeat and gave them assurances that his team would undoubtedly turn the situation around and capture titles during his press conference.
