The senior women’s football teams of South Africa, Banyana Banyana, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are set to compete in the 2024 CAF Women’s Olympic qualifiers on October 25 (first leg) and October 30, 2023.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) has released the roster, which includes 24 players categorized into three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders, and eight strikers.
Five players hail from Mamelodi Sundowns FC, a prominent South African women’s football team, Footballrover reports
These players are Kholosa Biyana, a midfielder, Karabo Dhlamini, Tiiseto Makhubela, striker Melinda Kgadiete, and goalkeeper Andile Dlamini.
The list also features Thembi Kgatlana, a playmaker for TS Galaxy Queens FC and a renowned star in South African women’s football.
