Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has continued to struggle in front of goal after firing blank yet again for Chelsea during their Champions League game against RB Salzburg.Aubameyang plead for more time from Chelsea fans, says he's not 100% fine

The newly signed Chelsea forward is currently appealing with the fans to be patient with him because he is going through a difficult moment and needs to fully recuperate as soon as possible.

It wasn’t a sweet tale for Graham Potter, who saw his Champions League debut end in a draw, and from that outing on Wednesday night, he will have learned a great deal.

The Wednesday’s match between Chelsea and Red Bull Salzburg ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving the Blues at the submit of their Champions League group after two games, making Potter’s start off to a rough start.

The moment the West London side scored first, it seemed as though they had complete control of the game, but Potter discovered exactly how fierce the competition is at the end of the final whistle.

With Sterling’s beautiful curl, his side took the lead, which was exactly what they deserved, but the Blues struggled to defeat their opponents as usual as with 15 minutes left, Okafor disrupted Potter’s welcome celebration.

Aubameyang had numerous opportunities to find back of the net, but unfortunately for him, Bernardo denied him on each and every of those moment.

Sterling was the best of the lot, although Mount and Ziyech also had their chances but were unable to finish off colly.

The new manager made some positive improvements, but there were also some well-known issues that served as a reminder of how much work Potter still has ahead of him to make Chelsea competitive on both the domestic and European aspects.

The Chelsea team played in a different formation and manner, but the outcomes were basically the same. Chelsea was wasteful on offense and careless in defense.

The best performance from Potter’s new team at both ends of the field will require more than just tactical work, though it may simply be a matter of making sure the players get used to the new system.

And shortly after the game, Aubameyang had this to say to Chelsea fans;

I’m going to need more time, I’m not 100% fine, it’s not easy to play with a mask and an injury, let’s hope I recover 100% as soon as possible

While speaking on Tuchel being sacked, Aubameyang said;

Yeah, it’s been a crazy few weeks for all of us, Its part of life, you have to adapt, right now it’s a bit sad but we hope to return to better days

The result of this game might have been different for Chelsea supporters if it had occurred a few weeks later.

When they rematch in October, Chelsea will have the opportunity to exact revenge, but Salzburg will be happy with their point earned at Stamford Bridge.
