Her well-placed penalty in the 27th minute gave Bay FC the edge they needed to secure a much-needed victory on Sunday at Lumen Field, boosting their playoff chances with just a few games left in the regular season, Footballrover reports.

Seattle Reign dominated the match in terms of possession and attacking opportunities, but Oshoala’s clinical finishing was the difference.

Despite being on the back foot for most of the game, Bay FC held their own, and the Nigerian forward’s composure from the spot put her side ahead after a foul in the box.

Oshoala keeps Bay FC in the playoff hunt

The result was critical for Bay FC, who had been struggling with just one point from their previous two games.
