It took a hat-trick from ASFAR’s number 9 Player, Ibtissam Jraidi, and two red cards to two players, Rhoda Malauta, and Captain Zanele Nhlapo, of Mamelodi Sundowns, for ASFAR FC, Morocco, to humiliate the defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, in the finals of 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The final match played at Stade Prince Moulay Stadium,saw the host team, ASFAR FC, scoring four goals including a Penalty scored by tournament’s Third Best Leading Scorer, Fatima Tagnaout, in the early moments of the first half of the final match.

The hat-trick scored by Ibtissam Jraidi brought her goals tally in the tournament to six (6).
Jraidi did not only win the golden boot of the tournament, she also set a new record as the all time Lead Scorer in a Champions League Tournament with a goal above Hasaccas Ladies’ Evelyn Nadu who scored five (5) goals in Egypt, 2021.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Lelona Daweti ended the tournament as the Second Best Goal Scorer with four (4) goals, while ASFAR FC of Morocco’s Fatima Tagnaout ended the tournament as the Best Player, and Third Best Scorer with three (3) goals.
ASFAR FC Goalkeeper – Khadija Er-rmichi won the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper Award, while the tournament’s Third Best Team, Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, won the Tournament’s Fair Play Award.
