Nigerian forward Anthony Ujah displayed his prowess in front of goal with a double strike to rescue his team, Eintracht Braunschweig, from the brink of defeat in their recent Bundesliga 2 clash on Saturday.
In a thrilling match against Nurnberg, Ujah sealed the deal with a remarkable brace, inspiring Jens Härtel’s men to stage an impressive comeback, which resulted in a 2-2 draw.
Ujah wasted no time, opening the scoring for the game in the early moments of the Germany second division fixture at the Eintracht-Stadion.
However, the visiting Nurnberg responded with two goals, courtesy of Kanji Okunuki and Benjamin Goller, establishing a 1-2 lead at halftime.
The 64th minute saw the Nigerian grab his second goal of the match, leveling the score at 2-2.
This parity endured until the end of regulation time, thanks to Ujah’s exceptional performance, salvaging a crucial point for the home team.
The 32-year-old, Anthony Ujah has now netted four goals in eight matches across all competitions this season for Eintracht Braunschweig, a team currently grappling with a 17th position in the German Bundesliga 2.
Ujah also made his mark on the scoresheet during the 1-3 DFB Pokal Cup loss to Schalke 04.
Looking ahead, Ujah and his teammates are gearing up for a challenging fixture against Hansa Rostock next Saturday, as they aim to climb out of the relegation zone.
