Anayo Iwuala has continued his red-hot form in the Kuwaiti League, bagging another goal as Al Arabi secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Al Tadhamon.
It’s two goals in two games for the Nigerian forward, who’s clearly enjoying life in the Middle East, Footballrover reports.
The action-packed encounter saw most of the goals crammed into a wild first half.
After Ali Porusaniei put Al Arabi ahead, the hosts equalised through Rodrigue Casimir Ninga.
But the drama was far from over! Just when you thought things couldn’t get crazier, Iwuala popped up to give his side the lead again.
Al Tadhamon weren’t done yet, though. Talal Al-Ansari’s equaliser sent the teams into the break locked at 2-2.
The second half was a much tighter affair, but then Ahmed Khaldi’s late strike sealed the deal for Al Arabi.
This win means Al Arabi are sitting pretty at the top of the table with maximum points from their opening two games.
Iwuala, who also scored in the team’s previous match against Kazma SC, is undoubtedly one of the big reasons for their flying start.
The former Enyimba star will be looking to keep the goals coming when Al Arabi host Al Qadisiya on Wednesday.
Can he make it three in three? We can’t wait to find out!
