Fulham coach Marco Silva has singled out Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi for high praise ahead of their Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

The Super Eagles star has impressed Silva with his performances recently, playing in multiple roles this season, footballrover reports.

Silva highlighted that Iwobi is currently performing at an impressive height, showing confidence that his best is yet to come.

Iwobi has been a key player for Fulham, contributing significantly in various positions, including central midfield, left and right midfield, and both wings.

Statistically, this is his best Premier League season, with eight goal involvements (5 goals, 3 assists) in just 18 appearances.

This surpasses his output from his first season at Fulham, showing his growth and importance to the team.

Despite a recent dry spell, where Alex Iwobi failed to score or assist in his last four matches, Silva remained full of praise for his contributions.

The Fulham coach believes Iwobi is playing at a top level while adapting to various tactical roles on the field.

Silva expressed confidence that this season will be even better than the last, which was already considered Iwobi’s best.

“Alex Iwobi has been great. Last season he was top, his best season up until that point, but this season is going to be better for him. He’s at a very good level; he’s scoring, he’s assisting, all in different positions,” Silva said.

With Emile Smith Rowe doubtful for Fulham’s upcoming game against Bournemouth, Alex Iwobi is expected to feature in his favoured attacking midfield position.
