On Monday night at the King Power Stadium, Super Eagles’ player Alex Iwobi surged from zero to hero in a tense, end-to-end relegation match between Leicester City and Everton.
After committing an error that resulted in Leicester City’s second goal, the midfielder was able to atone for his wrongdoing by scoring a vital equalizer to secure a draw for Everton.
Everton and Leicester opted for a 2-2 draw on Monday, which may have felt like a squandered opportunity for both teams.
A Calvert-Lewin penalty kick gave the Toffees the early advantage, but goals from Soyuncu and Vardy gave the Foxes the lead going into halftime.
Madison missed a penalty right before the interval, which could have caused more harm.
Before Alex Iwobi scored a well-deserved equalizer for the visiting Everton side late in the second half to make up for his initial error.

The 26-year-old midfielder’s strike was his eighth Premier League goal of the season, which is more than any other Everton player.
The Nigerian international has now contributed two goals and six assists in 34 games for Everton in all competitions.
Despite their best efforts, neither team was able to score a late winner, and soon after the game, Iwobi took to social media to acknowledge the error he had made during the match.
“Errors Made But The Support Stayed, Appreciate The Love. We Go Again.” – Iwobi wrote.
The draw keeps both teams involved in the Premier League survival race.
Leicester is now 16th in the Premier League after the draw, level on points with Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, the two teams behind them.
Meanwhile, Iwobi and his Everton teammates, who are now in 19th place, will have a more challenging assignment in a week’s time when they travel to Brighton and Hove Albion.
On the same day, in an effort to stave off relegation, the Foxes will have to pay European contenders Fulham a visit.
