For the first ten minutes, the Gambia defence held off the Cameroonian onslaught, forcing the hosts to withdraw deep into their own territory and resume attacks.

Clinton N’Jie was later introduced in the 75th minute to replace Toko Ekambi, making it impossible for him to score his sixth goal and tie Aboubakar for the most goals for Cameroon.

When the Gambia were later caught sleeping at the back in the 87th minute, giving Aboubakar a chance to make it 3-0, but he shot wide inside the area.

In the final eight match, the former African champions were simply too strong for the debutants as they cruise to semi finals.
