In an attempt to strengthen their team ahead of the upcoming CAF Confederation’s Cup tournament, Rivers United, the former NPFL Champions, have finalized the signing of talented Ghanaian attacker Samuel Adom Antwi.
The 23-year-old forward has joined the Pride of Rivers on a one-year loan deal, and the club has high expectations for his contribution to their success in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Samuel Adom Antwi had an impressive previous season, displaying exceptional performances and scoring several crucial goals for his former team, King Faisal, despite their unfortunate relegation to the Division One League.
King Faisal even managed to reach the finals of the FA Cup competition, although they missed out on lifting the trophy, finishing as runners-up to Dreams FC.
This signing marks the second addition to the Stanley Eguma side’s attacking lineup, following the recent acquisition of Ivorian International Bernard Yao Kouassi early last month.
Rivers United’s supporters can look forward to the unveiling of Samuel Adom Antwi later today, where he will officially don the Port Harcourt-based club’s colors.
