Speaking exclusively to Footballrover ahead of the FA Cup final, the midfielder revealed the mindset in camp has been clear: everyone knows what is at stake.

Honestly, it will be a great thing for us and a great achievement in our career,” Shola said. “Nothing much; everyone is ready because we know the task ahead of us.”

With the Ilorin Boys aiming for their first major silverware, the pressure is immense — but so is the motivation.

They know too well that a win will not only bring a historic trophy home but also secure qualification for the CAF competition, a dream stage for many players.

Playing in the CAF is another tournament which I believe every player wants to play in and show the talent they have,” he said.

The potential exposure that comes with featuring in the CAF tournament is not lost on the players.

It will be a big plus to my CV and the likes of my teammates,” Shola added. “Like, two or three players have played on this stage before.”

As the Kwara Warriors prepare to face Abakaliki FC on the big stage, the FA Cup final means more than just silverware — it represents pride, progress, and a new chapter in the club’s history. It’s now or never for Shola and the Harmony Boys.
